HB6921 Summary

• Director of Corrections must provide monthly written reports to the Governor and annual written reports to the General Assembly on good conduct credit awards for meritorious service.

• Reports must include: number of inmates awarded meritorious credit, jurisdictions of commitment and release, average credit amount awarded, holding offenses of awardees, and number of revocations.

• Department must publish both reports on its website within 48 hours of transmitting them to the Governor or General Assembly.

• Effective immediately upon passage.
