Amends the Disabled Persons Rehabilitation Act to require the Department of Human Services to adopt a policy informing Home Services Program customers that criminal background investigations are mandatory for Personal Assistants and Private Duty Providers.

Customers must be informed of the criminal background investigation requirement at the time of application, and no Personal Assistant or Private Duty Provider may begin employment until investigation forms are signed and submitted for processing.

Criminal background investigation results are sent directly to the customer, who has no obligation to share the results with anyone.

Information from the criminal background investigation is intended to assist customers in making informed choices about their Personal Assistants or providers.

The Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
