Department of Financial and Professional Regulation shall revoke the license or visiting permit of any medical licensee convicted of any felony under the Illinois Controlled Substances Act, Methamphetamine Control and Community Protection Act, Class 1 felony under Illinois Public Aid Code sections 8A-3 and 8A-6, or sexual assault or battery against a patient.

Department shall investigate any licensee upon notification from law enforcement of a criminal complaint alleging facts that would constitute grounds for suspension or revocation.

Law enforcement agencies in Illinois must provide immediate notification to the Department when receiving a criminal complaint against a licensee alleging sexual assault or other battery on a patient.

Persons whose licenses are revoked under these provisions are prohibited from practicing medicine or treating human ailments without drugs and without operative surgery.

Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
