Requests state, county, and municipal law enforcement to include information about cellular phone use in police reports of automobile accidents

Directs the Department of Transportation to collect statistics from law enforcement agencies on cellular phone use leading to automobile accidents over a two-year period beginning July 1, 2010

Requires the Department of Transportation to report findings to the General Assembly no later than September 1, 2012

Cites that cell phone distraction causes approximately 2,600 deaths and 330,000 injuries annually in the United States

Directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Department of Transportation and appropriate county and municipal law enforcement agencies
