Chrysler assembly plant in Belvidere is identified as the most efficient plant in the United States.

Chrysler has invested $420 million into the Belvidere plant while the State of Illinois has invested $34 million in infrastructure upgrades.

Urges the President of the United States and Congress to work with the State of Illinois to ensure the viability of the Chrysler plant in Belvidere.

Requires copies of the resolution to be sent to the President, leadership of both houses of Congress, and Illinois congressional delegation members.
