Calls for maintaining public option availability for Illinois residents if federal health care reform legislation includes a public option with a state opt-out provision.

Commits Illinois House members to either decline the state opt-out option or create a state-operated public option for Illinois residents if the federal opt-out provision is exercised.

Directs distribution of this resolution to President Obama, U.S. Senate leadership, U.S. House leadership, and all members of the Illinois congressional delegation.
