Urges Illinois Department of Agriculture, Department of Public Health, and other relevant state agencies to not join the petition for an EPA waiver allowing residential use of the insecticide Propoxur for bed bug treatment.

Identifies Propoxur as a probable human carcinogen (Group B2) classified by the U.S. EPA and a known human carcinogen under California law.

Recommends state agencies fully examine their statutory authority to promote Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies as an alternative approach to bed bug eradication.

Acknowledges bed bug infestations as a growing public nuisance in Illinois municipalities that can be successfully treated through IPM strategies.

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to the Directors of the Illinois Department of Agriculture and Department of Public Health.
