Kenneth R. "Kenny" Moore of Mounds passed away on May 10, 2010, after a lifetime of service to his community and country.

Served 29 years as an Illinois Department of Natural Resources conservation officer, earning Conservation Agent of the Year and Wildlife Officer of the Year in 1997.

Held multiple law enforcement positions including Cairo police patrolman (1968-1969), Pulaski County sheriff (2000-2001), and Cairo chief of police (2005).

Served honorably in the United States Army as a Military Police officer in Korea during 1967 and 1968.

Illinois House of Representatives mourns his passing and extends sympathy to his wife Jackie, son Robbie, three grandchildren, and extended family.
