Family Circle magazine analyzed demographics from 1,700 towns with populations between 15,000 and 150,000, evaluating affordable homes, schools, health care access, green space, crime rates, and financial stability with average incomes of about $75,000

Recognizes Edwardsville's child-friendly programs including the Public Library reading programs, Children's Museum, Watershed Nature Center, Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, Arts in the Park, Municipal Band, top-rated school system, and YMCA membership

Acknowledges the City of Edwardsville's commitment to providing a safe, clean, and intellectual environment for children

Directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to Edwardsville Mayor Gary Niebur as a symbol of respect and esteem
