Illinois House of Representatives honors Pastor Joseph Johnson of Star of Hope Full Gospel Baptist Church in Peoria on his 75th birthday.

Pastor Johnson has served as pastor of Star of Hope for 43 years and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Theology from Chicago Baptist Institute of Theology.

Completed Pre-Law graduate studies and dedicated 35 years to Peoria County Juvenile Court Service, serving as director for 33 years.

Raised 2 biological sons and 18 foster sons, plus has 24 ministerial sons and daughters serving as pastors and missionaries throughout the United States, Africa, and Trinidad-Tobago.

House directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to Pastor Johnson as a symbol of respect and esteem.
