Honors United States Army Ranger Joseph Whiting Dimock II of Wildwood, who died on July 10, 2010, while serving at Camp Salerno, Afghanistan.

Dimock was born May 25, 1989, in Libertyville, graduated from Warren Township High School in 2007, and enlisted in the Army in August 2007.

Served in the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment and completed three overseas deployments, including two in Afghanistan supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Received the Ranger Tab, Combat Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge, and was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star Medal and Army Commendation Medal, among other military honors.

Illinois House of Representatives expresses sympathy to his family and honors his service and ultimate sacrifice to the country.
