Congratulates John T. Hooker on winning the Circle of Friends Award from the Chicago State University (CSU) Foundation for his outstanding commitment to CSU students.

Recognizes Hooker's career progression at Commonwealth Edison/Exelon from mailroom employee in 1966 to senior vice president in 2004, including roles as director of marketing, ComEd liaison to Chicago City Hall, and director of governmental affairs.

Notes Hooker earned his bachelor's degree from Chicago State University in 1990 and helped found the Exelon African American Members Association (EAAMA).

Highlights his service on boards including the Chicago State University Foundation, Peoples Consumer Cooperative, Safer Foundation, and Junior Achievement, as well as membership in the American Association of Blacks in Energy.

Directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to John Hooker as a symbol of the House's esteem and respect.
