Honors United States Marine Corps Corporal Christopher J. Boyd, formerly of Palatine, Illinois, who was killed in action on August 19, 2010, in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

Corporal Boyd was a member of the 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division based at Camp Pendleton, California, and was a 2006 graduate of Palatine High School.

Recognizes his military decorations including a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Humanitarian Service Medal, and National Defense Service Medal.

Survived by his parents Kenneth and Patricia Boyd, his wife Danielle, and their twin sons Jack and Evan.

Directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to Corporal Boyd's family as a symbol of sincere sympathy.
