Illinois House of Representatives congratulates Ryan Rikje on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout on June 24, 2010.

Rikje began his scouting career in 2000 with Cub Scout Pack 190 at age 7, advancing through Webelos before crossing over to Boy Scout Troop 303 in 2003.

Rikje earned 23 Merit Badges and completed his Eagle Scout project by leading construction of a concrete pad for Lord of Glory Lutheran Church, creating additional parking space and improving snow plowing.

Rikje served in multiple leadership positions including Troop Librarian, Assistant Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader; inducted into the Order of the Arrow in 2008 and received OA Brotherhood Honor in 2010.

House of Representatives formally recognizes Rikje's dedication and hard work, directing presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to him as a symbol of esteem and respect.
