Congratulates Norman Groetzinger on his retirement as Executive Director of the Counseling Center of Lake View on September 26, 2010, after 35 years of service beginning in 1975.

Recognizes his leadership in expanding the Counseling Center's programs to include Child and Adolescent Services, Gay Horizons (now Center on Halsted), Older Adults Program, 21st Century Seniors, Sojourners Program, Alternatives to Hospitalization, and Projecto Asistencia Social.

Notes his service on boards including Alderman Tunney's Community Directed Development Council, Lake View Action Coalition, Central Lake View Merchants' Association, Chicago Public Welfare Coalition, and Lincoln Belmont Pantry.

Highlights his educational background including a M.A. in Health Policy and Planning from University of Chicago, M.A. in Theology from Meadville Theological School, and M.A. in East Asian Studies from Yale University, plus prior Peace Corps service in India.

Directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to Groetzinger as a symbol of respect and esteem.
