Northeast DuPage Special Recreation Association (NEDSRA) was formed in 1976 to provide recreation services to individuals with disabilities, now serving over 4,000 people with more than 600 programs.

Executive Director Larry Reiner retired on November 5, 2010, after more than 33 years of dedicated leadership of NEDSRA.

NEDSRA received the National Gold Medal for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management twice under Reiner's direction and is recognized as one of the country's best agencies providing parks and recreation services to individuals with special needs.

The Illinois House of Representatives wishes Larry Reiner well in retirement and thanks him for his service to NEDSRA.

A suitable copy of this resolution will be presented to Larry Reiner expressing gratitude and esteem for his legacy.
