Congratulates Lindenhurst Chief of Police Jack McKeever on his retirement after serving 17 years in that position.

McKeever previously served as a police officer for Highland Park for 21 years after initially working as a police dispatcher while studying for the priesthood.

Served as an instructor at the Chicago Police Academy and International Association of Chiefs of Police; held leadership positions including Past President/Chairman of the Lake County Chiefs of Police and Major Crimes Task Force.

Worked as one of 14 national consultants on Smaller Agency Issues for the International Association of Chiefs of Police for the past 10 years and co-authored publications on police personnel, recruitment, and juvenile justice.

Holds a Bachelor's degree in philosophy, Master's degrees in theology and public administration, and attended the advanced police administrative course at the Southern Police Institute in Louisville.
