Recognizes Craig Virgin of Lebanon on his election to the U.S.A. National Track and Field Hall of Fame as a three-time Olympic 10,000-meter runner and two-time World Cross-Country Champion.

Notes Virgin's high school achievements including 5 Illinois State cross country championships and victories in 2-mile and 1-mile track events, with state meet records of 13:50.6 in 3-mile cross country and 8:42.6 in 2-mile track.

Acknowledges his 1973 national high school 2-mile record of 8:40.9, breaking Steve Prefontaine's previous record and ranking as the second fastest prep time in all-high school competition.

States Virgin deferred his Hall of Fame induction ceremony until December 2011, when it will be held at the U.S.A. Track and Field National Convention in St. Louis near his home and family.
