Illinois House of Representatives honors Olga Iniguez for over 32 years of dedicated service to the State of Illinois and commitment to equal opportunities.

Iniguez held various positions at the Illinois Department of Central Management Services as Manager of Chicago and Rockford offices and authored multiple state studies and reports.

During 5 years at the Illinois Department of Human Rights, she developed the first Writing Skills assessment for employees, implemented the first written civil service test for investigators, and helped establish the Human Rights Institute for Training and Development.

Appointed as the first State Hispanic Employment Plan Manager in June 2006 and promoted to Statewide Diversity Enrichment Program Manager in August 2007; instrumental in creating the State's first Hispanic Employment Plan in 1987.

Iniguez served on the Governor's New Americans Immigrant Interagency Task Force, co-founded the Illinois Association of Hispanic State Employees, and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from IAHSE and the American GI Forum Humanitarian Award.
