Illinois House of Representatives honors the Berwyn Development Corporation for its dedicated service to the Berwyn community and State of Illinois.

Berwyn Development Corporation was founded in 1983 as the City of Berwyn's economic development arm through a public-private partnership with the city, the South Berwyn Business Association, and local residents.

BDC operates as a not-for-profit corporation serving over 300 business and individual members, providing economic development and Chamber of Commerce services.

BDC administers programs including the Commercial Loan Program and Tax Increment Financing districts to improve business climate and create employment opportunities.

BDC's work has been recognized by the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and the International Economic Development Council.
