Congratulates Phyllis Jacobek, Mokena Community Public Library District Director, on her retirement effective January 18, 2010.

Recognizes her service as Director since August 1997 and as business administrator beginning in 1995.

Credits her with securing over $850,000 in grant funds from the Illinois State Library and federal government for technology infrastructure including 70+ computers, Wi-Fi access, and an Assistive Technology Workstation for the blind and visually impaired.

Notes her receipt of the Alexander Skrzypek Award in September 2010 from the Illinois State Library and Illinois Library Association for making a difference in her community.

Acknowledges her active involvement with the Mokena Chamber of Commerce, Friends of the Mokena Library, Lincoln-Way Professional Woman's Organization, Mokena Women's Club, and Mokena Lion's Club.
