Commemorates United States Army Sergeant Jesse Richard Tilton of Long Creek, who died on July 16, 2010.

Sergeant Tilton was born December 14, 1986 in Decatur and served as a medic with the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team of the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Earned the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, and Combat Medic Badge.

Illinois House of Representatives mourns his passing and expresses sympathy to his surviving family members, including his mother Julie A. Tilton-Magana and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A suitable copy of the resolution will be presented to Sergeant Tilton's family as an expression of sympathy.
