Notes Sherman's undergraduate degree in Journalism from Northwestern Medill School of Journalism and Master's degree from the University of Missouri.

Recognizes Sherman's professional involvement in cable television, volunteer work with Vietnam Veterans Post in Des Plaines, and extensive philatelic collecting and leadership in stamp collecting organizations including Compex 2000 and the Chicago Philatelic Society.

Directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to Sherman's family as a symbol of condolence.
