Wilhelm Herb Tauscher of Christopher died on November 19, 2010; he was born February 24, 1939, in Mount Vernon.

Served 22 years in the United States Coast Guard and worked as a coal miner at Kerr Magee for 15 years.

Held leadership positions including Fall Festival Grand Marshal, Christopher Lions Club president, and Christopher American Legion commander; was instrumental in creating the bocce ball court in Christopher.

Survived by three children, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and extended family members.

Illinois House of Representatives expresses sympathy to his family and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to them.
