Recognizes State Representative Betsy Hannig for her service to Illinois and the 98th House District.

Hannig took office in March 2009 and passed five bills into law covering adoption reform, public health, charitable giving for Route 66, state parks, and benefits for disabled veterans.

Supported construction of an innovative energy facility in Taylorville and helped pass a multi-billion dollar public works program that created jobs and modernized transportation infrastructure.

Hannig holds a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Economics and Animal Science from the University of Illinois and previously worked with the Piatt County Cooperative Extension Service and State Teachers Retirement System.

House directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Representative Hannig as a symbol of respect and esteem.
