Honors Illinois State Representative Mark Walker for his dedicated service to the people of Illinois and the 66th District during the 96th General Assembly.

Recognizes Walker's military service in the United States Army, including combat service in Vietnam and earning the Bronze Star, and his continued work as co-chair of the Northwest Suburban Veterans Advisory Council to improve care for injured veterans.

Acknowledges Walker's legislative accomplishments including sponsorship of bills assisting survivors of fallen service members, protecting children from sexual predators, supporting government transparency and reform, and encouraging business development in Illinois.

Notes Walker's efforts to oppose a Cook County sales tax increase and his work on legislation to strengthen the Cook County Board of Commissioners' ability to override a board president's veto.

Recognizes Walker's service on the Arlington Heights Park Foundation Board and his 25+ years of residence in Arlington Heights with his wife Joan and son Stephen.
