SB0078 - Manufactured Home Installation Act

• Requires manufactured homes installed on private property outside mobile home parks to comply with manufacturer specifications after the effective date of the Act.

• Standardizes the definition of "manufactured home" (synonymous with "mobile home") across Illinois law as a factory-assembled, permanently-chassied structure designed for permanent habitation that can be transported and placed on a support system.

• Amends the Mobile Home Park Act to update the definition of "mobile home" to match the standardized definition and repeals Section 2.10 regarding immobilized mobile homes.

• Amends the Illinois Manufactured Housing and Mobile Home Safety Act to align definitions of "mobile home" with the new standardized definition and removes provisions regarding immobilized homes on permanent foundations.

• Amends the Manufactured Home Quality Assurance Act to update the definition of "manufactured home" and remove distinctions for structures on permanent foundations.
