• Prohibits health care professionals and providers from discriminating against insured persons based on the cause of their sickness or accidental injury.

• Prevents health care professionals and providers from seeking remittance from insured persons if they fail to submit claims within the required timeframe.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
