• Separates the Illinois Gaming Board from the Department of Revenue as an independent agency effective July 1, 2009, with full powers to administer and enforce the Riverboat Gambling Act.

• Transfers all powers, duties, assets, employees, and contracts related to riverboat gambling administration from the Department of Revenue to the Illinois Gaming Board.
