IL SB1267

Amends the Pyrotechnic Distributor and Operator Licensing Act to add "production companies" as a licensed entity category for film, digital media, television, commercial, and theatrical productions that provide pyrotechnic services.

Requires production companies to obtain licenses from the Office of the State Fire Marshal and maintain $2,000,000 in commercial general liability insurance covering pyrotechnic display and service activities.

Establishes that lead pyrotechnic operators employed by licensed production companies must hold valid BATFE licenses for the specific pyrotechnic services provided and meet all existing qualifications.

Requires lead pyrotechnic operators to file Illinois Display Reports within 30 days of any pyrotechnic display or service, including names and signatures of all participating operators and assistants.

Creates a temporary Music Entertainment Pyrotechnics Task Force (5 members) to study pyrotechnic regulations in the music entertainment industry and report findings to the House by January 1, 2011, then dissolves on July 1, 2011.
