IL SB1330

Amends the Commission on the Elimination of Poverty Act to modify the commission's composition, limiting voting members to no more than 26 including legislators, executive branch representatives, and 20 public members appointed by various state officials.

Specifies that public members must include representatives from anti-poverty organizations, health care advocacy groups, homeless advocates, disability organizations, faith-based organizations, labor unions, and individuals with lived experience of extreme poverty.

Requires appointed members to reflect racial, gender, and geographic diversity of the state, with specific representation from regions experiencing the highest rates of extreme poverty.

Changes administrative support provision from the Department of Human Services to the Office of the Governor or the Governor's designee, subject to appropriation.

Adjusts reporting deadlines: interim report due by December 1, 2009; strategic plan adoption by April 1, 2010; and annual reports due by September 1st of each year after 2010.
