IL SB1373

Prohibits community college districts from considering whether an employee resides within or outside the district when deciding to retain, assign, promote, or transfer any employee.

Removes previous exemptions that allowed residency requirements for employees hired on or after July 1, 1977 or after a board resolution establishing residency as a condition of employment.

Prohibits residency from being considered in determining employee salary or other compensation.

Amends the State Mandates Act to exempt this requirement from state reimbursement obligations.
