IL SB1666

Eliminates the requirement that voters declare party affiliation when voting at primary elections.

Provides that primary voters shall receive ballots of all established political parties nominating candidates but may cast a ballot of only one political party.

Creates an exception allowing voters to cast ballots for both a statewide political party and a local political party established only within a political subdivision on the same election day, provided they do not vote in both parties' primaries for the same political subdivision offices.

Applies the same primary ballot procedures to absentee voters, requiring them to discard unused party ballots and marking their chosen party on the ballot.
