Amends cancer drug coverage requirements for state employees, group health insurance policies, and health maintenance organizations by updating the list of approved reference compendia used to determine coverage eligibility.

Removes the American Medical Association Drug Evaluations and United States Pharmacopeia Drug Information from the list of recognized compendia.

Adds four new authoritative compendia: National Comprehensive Cancer Network's Drugs & Biologics Compendium, Thomson Micromedex's Drug Dex, Elsevier Gold Standard's Clinical Pharmacology, and other compendia identified by the federal Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Requires insurers to cover FDA-approved cancer drugs prescribed off-label if the drug is recognized for that cancer type in one of the listed compendia or in at least two peer-reviewed professional medical journals published in the United States or Great Britain.

Maintains existing exclusions for experimental or investigational drugs and drugs the FDA has determined to be contraindicated for a specific cancer type.
