Removes limitations on the police powers of Department of Revenue investigators by deleting the restriction that investigators exercise powers "solely for the purpose of enforcing taxing measures"

Department of Revenue investigators retain authority to conduct investigations, searches, seizures, arrests, and other duties under laws administered by the Department or Illinois Gaming Board

Eliminates subsection (c) that previously limited investigators assigned to the Illinois Gaming Board to exercising police powers only for offenses occurring on riverboats or docks

Requires the Director to authorize each investigator with a distinct badge clearly stating Department authorization and containing a unique identifying number

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
