• Appropriates $1,370,647,000 to the Illinois Department of Corrections for fiscal year 2009-2010 ($1,244,185,400 from General Funds and $126,461,600 from Other State Funds).

• Funds ordinary and contingent expenses across all Department of Corrections divisions including adult education, field services, and 26 correctional centers statewide.

• Allocates $65,000,000 from the Department of Corrections Reimbursement and Education Fund for school district programs ($15,000,000), federal programs and construction ($27,000,000), and miscellaneous programs including medical and food costs ($23,000,000).

• Appropriates $20,000,000 in federal stimulus funding pursuant to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for federal programs.

• Provides $1,500,000 from General Revenue Fund for the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center operations, including a juvenile methamphetamine pilot program, with an effective date of July 1, 2009.
