Appropriates $27,764,492 total for the Office of the State Fire Marshal for fiscal year 2009-2010, consisting of $27,064,492 from Other State Funds and $700,000 in Federal Funds.

Allocates $15,994,255 from the Fire Prevention Fund and $3,246,037 from the Underground Storage Tank Fund for general office operations including personal services, employee benefits, contractual services, equipment, and telecommunications.

Provides $3,390,300 in grants from the Fire Prevention Fund, including $1,950,300 for Chicago Fire Department Training Program, $950,000 for local governmental agency participation in State Training Programs, and $475,000 for Regional Training Grants.

Appropriates $2,000,000 from the Fire Service and Small Equipment Fund for small equipment grants to fire departments and $780,900 for a public safety shared services center.

Takes effect July 1, 2009, covering additional appropriations for fire prevention training, arson education, elevator safety administration, Illinois Firefighters' Memorial maintenance, and other specialized fire safety programs.
