Illinois Department of Children and Family Services shall charge licensing and renewal fees for all child care facilities except foster homes, with fees set by Department rules under the Illinois Administrative Procedure Act.

Department may assess fines up to $500 per violation for child care facility violations of the Act, with fine schedules established by Department rules.

All fees and fines collected must be deposited into the DCFS Children's Services Fund and used to enhance child care services provided by the Department.

Failure to pay a license renewal fee or fine owed to the Department is added as grounds for license revocation or denial of renewal.

Child care facility applicants must submit application fees along with license applications, and licensees must pay renewal fees to continue operations.
