SB3302 Summary

• Department of Healthcare and Family Services shall develop dental provider incentive programs beginning July 1, 2010, for dentists serving children under the Children's Health Insurance Program Act and Covering ALL KIDS Health Insurance Act, and adults and children under the Illinois Public Aid Code.

• Pilot programs in designated shortage areas shall increase reimbursement rates up to 64% of the level the State pays dentists for services provided to State employees under the State Employees Group Insurance Act.

• Dental specialty service rates for children shall be increased to equal the reimbursement level for services provided to State employees as defined by the Code of Dental Terminology specialty codes.

• Enrolled dentists receive bonus payments on a graduated scale (25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% increase) for treating a higher annual percentage of patients compared to the previous year.
