SB3957 Summary

• Director of Corrections must provide monthly written reports to the Governor and annual written reports to the General Assembly regarding awards of good conduct credit for meritorious service.

• Reports must include: number of inmates awarded meritorious good conduct credit, their committing and release jurisdictions, average credit amounts awarded, holding offenses of awardees, and number of revocations.

• Department of Corrections must publish these reports on its website within 48 hours of transmitting them to the respective parties.

• Effective immediately upon becoming law.
