IL SB3964

Amends the Unemployment Insurance Act to expand the definition of "child" for dependent child allowance purposes to include individuals who are 18 years of age or older and full-time high school (or equivalent) students.

Dependent child must meet existing dependency tests, including that the claimant supplies more than one-half the cost of support (or at least 1/4 if both parents together supply more than one-half) for at least 90 consecutive days immediately preceding the week for which benefits are claimed.

Maintains existing provisions for dependent child allowance rates and maximum benefit amounts, with rates varying by benefit year beginning dates and subject to federal program agreements.

Preserves restrictions preventing a child from being claimed by multiple parents within the same benefit year.
