Increases the aggregate liability cap of the Illinois Health Maintenance Organization Guaranty Association from $300,000 to $500,000 per natural person for contractual obligations of an insolvent HMO organization.

Changes minor language in Section 6-8 of the Health Maintenance Organization Act, including replacing "or" with "of" in subsection (8)(b)(i)(C) and adding "; or" in subsection (8)(b)(ii).

Effective immediately upon becoming law.
