John E. Lind passed away on May 25, 2010; he was born May 26, 1934, in Edwardsville and married Lila Logeman on October 25, 1997.

Served 8 years in the United States Navy and 17 years in the United States Army Reserve, including tours during the Korean War and Operation Desert Storm.

Worked as a journeyman machinist for Owens Illinois until retirement and held membership in numerous civic and veterans organizations including the VFW, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and Masonic Lodge.

Survived by his wife Lila, six children, three stepsons, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three sisters.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to the family of John E. Lind and directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to his family.
