William Dale "Bird" Sears of Zion passed away on March 29, 2010; he was born February 3, 1950, in Waukegan and spent most of his life in North Chicago.

Graduated from North Chicago High School in 1968 and served one term with the United States Marines, honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal; worked as a mechanic and recently as an Operating Engineer for Hilton Hotel in Northbrook.

Enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping; was preceded in death by his parents William and Cordelia Dale, sister Rita, and daughter Heather.

Survived by his wife Lisa; children Erica, Annie, Brendhan, Billy, and Blaine; granddaughters Serenity and Kyleigh; siblings Diane Mitchell, Nancy Moxey, Charles, and Sonny; and many nieces and nephews.

Illinois Senate mourns his passing and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as a symbol of sympathy.
