Arthur M. Johnson of Virden passed away on May 30, 2010, at the age of 94, having been born May 23, 1916, in Manson, Iowa.

Served as a World War II veteran in the United States Army, later farmed in Iowa, and worked as a custodian for Manson High School before retirement.

Was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed sports, fishing, and traveling.

Survived by his wife Audrey, daughter Sally, two grandsons, two great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter, two great-great-granddaughters, and two nephews.

The Illinois Senate expresses condolences to the family and directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to them as a symbol of sympathy.
