John Allen of Chicago and Country Club Hills died on June 5, 2010, at age 75.

Born January 6, 1935, in Magnolia, Mississippi, to Earnest Allen and Mary Barnes; worked as a machine operator for 44 years at Pyle National Company before retiring in 1977.

Active member of Great Hope Baptist Missionary Church in Country Club Hills, serving as Chairman of the Deacon Board, Chairman of the Sick Committee, and as an usher.

Survived by his wife Christine (married 1952), 7 children, 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, along with multiple siblings and extended family.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to the family and directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to them as a symbol of sympathy.
