Expresses mourning for Private First Class Gunnar Randall Hotchkin of Naperville, who was killed in action in northern Afghanistan on June 16, 2010.

Honors Hotchkin's military service and the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country after enlisting in the United States Army in March 2009.

Notes Hotchkin was born December 23, 1978, in Hinsdale and was a graduate of Hinsdale High School in 1977, where he was a member of the swim team.

Recognizes Hotchkin is survived by his wife Erin, three children (Taylor, Ethan, and Tristan), brother Kurt, parents Christine and Randall, and grandmother Ly Hotchkin.

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to Hotchkin's family as a symbol of the Illinois Senate's sincere sympathy.
