Arrado Bostic Claybrooks passed away on July 3, 2010, and the Illinois Senate expresses mourning for her death.

Born February 9, 1912, in Ripley, Tennessee, Claybrooks moved to Blytheville, Arkansas at age 2 and later relocated to Chicago in 1968.

Claybrooks was a devout Christian who raised 12 children with her husband Herrod; three of her sons became ministers.

She is survived by 6 children, 57 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and 34 great-great-grandchildren.

The Illinois Senate directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family as an expression of sympathy.
