Martha A. Burlison of Benton died on August 18, 2010, at age 93, having been born July 7, 1917.

She was a member of the Benton American Legion and VFW auxiliaries and was active in the Democratic Party, known for driving people to the polls and never missing an election.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister Mary Krajnik.

She is survived by sons Ronald and Dr. John Burlison, grandsons Dr. Jared and Raymond Burlison, great-grandson Raymond Burlison Jr., and brother Frank Krajnik.

The Illinois Senate expresses condolences to her family and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to them.
