Leslie "Les" S. Skinner of Union died on June 12, 2010, and was married to Dolores "Dolly" Albrecht for 60 years.

Served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Henry F. Miller Post No. 482 and the Woodstock Moose Lodge.

Operated Skinner Amusements, a family-owned business founded by his grandfather George Skinner 100 years prior, beginning work at age 10 and purchasing his first ride in 1946.

Skinner Amusements received a "75 years of faithful service to McHenry County" award from the McHenry County Fair Association and celebrated its 100th anniversary on April 11, 2010.

Illinois Senate mourns the passing of Leslie Skinner and extends sympathy to his surviving wife, son Kevin, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and extended family.
